Heart DiagramsNormal Heart
The diagram on the right features casual heart, the function goes a bit like this. 1. The blue blood (non-oxygenated blood) enters the right atrium from the inferior vena cava or the superior vena cava. 2. After going through the right atrium, the blood goes through a valve into the right ventricle. 3. From the right ventricle the blood goes into the lungs to get oxygen and turn red. 4. Upon exiting the lungs with oxygen in the blood, the blood goes into the left atrium, then through the mitral valve to the left ventricle. 5. After entering the left ventricle the blood goes yet through another valve to the aorta to deliver oxygen to the body. |
